why jesus?

Ever wonder how a nice Jewish boy born in Israel 2000 years ago wound up being worshipped as God by billions of people all over the world? Ever wonder how, 2000 years later, another nice Jewish boy from Teaneck, N.J. could wind up worshipping Him too?

To understand the answer to both of these questions, it helps to look at what Torah says about God, Jews and the promised Messiah. It also helps to look at some common misconceptions held by many Jews, Christian Gentiles, and non-Christian Gentiles alike.

Here are five points you may find interesting:

1) Jesus didn't invent Christianity. He restored the true Jewish faith.

2) Faith in Jesus doesn't violate any fundamental Jewish beliefs. In fact, it fulfills them.

3) The "Trinity" is as Jewish as a kosher pickle.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all in Torah and all in the Sh'ma.

4) The name "Jesus" and the title "Christ" are entirely Jewish in origin.  They are translations of the Hebrew name Y'shua and the Hebrew title Meshiach.

5) According to God and His Torah, it's not enough to be "born Jewish."  You must receive Messiah and accept His sacrifice on your behalf to be redeemed.
