At our November Ladysippers tea, we invited everyone to write their own psalm and share it with the group.  Following are some of these personal psalms.

After you read them, you can leave feedback about what you've read by clicking the "reply" link on the discussion area topic you'll find here.

You are also welcome to leave your own personal psalm in the discussion area by opening up a new topic.

If you're an artist, writer, or musician -- or if you have some other creative gift -- we invite you to connect with RBCC and use that gift for the glory of God.

Heavenly Father, I praise you through my pain
Heavenly Father, I praise you through my despair
Heavenly Father, I praise you through my needs
Heavenly Father, I praise you through my wants

I worship You in the morning
I worship You in the afternoon
I worship You in the evening
I wake up singing Your praises

Heavenly Father, I thank You for my blessings
Heavenly Father, I thank You for my ability to give
Heavenly Father, I thank You for my forgiveness
Heavenly Father, I thank You for my healing

Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!
The wonder I have become through You
Jesus!  Jesus!  Jesus!
Thank You for saving me

-Lourdes Martin

Lord I desire, to give unto You
A heart full of fire
A love pure and true
So many times I fail You
So many times I fall
When I only give a part of me
Instead of giving all

I stumble in the darkness
When I should walk in light
And love the Lord, my God
With all my heart, my soul, my might
I sometimes seek fulfillment
In a world that's filled with sin
But I never find contentment
'Til I seek Your face again.

And when I'm walking blindly
And living as I please
And I can't see the answers
Or the forest for the trees
I hear You softly call me
And say "Child, it's alright"
"For this cause I died for you,
to give you back your sight."

So I praise You for my Saviour
The Truth, the Life, the Way
I praise You for Your Spirit
Who comforts me each day
I praise You for Your power
That calms the troubled seas
And I love you like a little girl
On her Daddy's knees.

In the glory of the sunrise
As I walk beside the sea
I thank Him for my pleasure
And I thank Him for my pain
It is there He speaks to me.

Waking up from my daze I blinked away the clouds in my eyes.
Awoken from my blank stare,
now was as good a time as any to rise.
I looked around,
only to see that no one was found.
At the base of my feet I see the foot trails…
I've been left behind again.
Always late and always last,
how I wish I could go fast.
But I am, unfortunately slow
and usually don't know which way to go.
I start to may my way… alone again
looking for a path to take
For I am most likely lost.
After awhile of going anywhere but straight,
with a sigh I sit down and think "It's time to wait"
My eyes start to fade,
My mind goes astray,
as I wait to be found or stay lost.
Alone,
Alone,
Alone,
always alone.
Thus, is the fate of the slow.
TAP TAP TAP
"Who is here?"
I search all around with false hope.
again let down
there is no one there
and so I return to my far way stare
TAP TAP TAP
"What is that?"
Said I with a mix of annoyance and fear.
Someone or something is around me… and quite near.
A feeling of love blooms like a rose in my chest.
My heart now full is fluttering in my breast.
I’m up in a flash with a tugging on my hand,
leading me on a path that's straight.
Who put the flower in my heart?
for I see no one. Not a hide or a hair.
Then came the smile on my face
for I know that my Savior is there.
I'm still not that fast,
the going's still slow
But there is one things I'll have you all know
I am not last,
in this life that's a race.
God, my Father, is merely letting me set my own pace.
I'm never alone for by me He will stand
showing me my path with a tug of the hand.
So with love in my heart I tell you dear friends
with God you'll never be dazed, alone, or lost again.

Your Word

It's morning.
I open my eyes and look around.
There are no words to express what I see.
Colors, changes, vibrance, life.
Until Your Word came in and re-created me.

It's morning! A new day!
I open my eyes and look around.
There are no words to express what I see.
How awesome and wonderful Your creation is!
The colors, the changes, the vibrance, the life.
